Licensing of Nigel Taylor as Rector of Ismere Team

At a very moving Advent themed Service led by Arch Deacon Nikki, Nigel was Licensed as Rector of the Ismere Team. St Mary's Church was filled with family,  friends, members of Kidderminster churches, and Civic Dignatries to support Nigel in this important start of a new Ministry. Friends within the Ismere Team welcomed Nigel and offered him their encouragement and prayers for the years ahead.
Diocese of Worcester Young Adults Taize Pilgrimage 2019

There is to be a Pilgrimage led by Graham Bishop of Dudley and S. Adeney in July. This is for the attention of 18-29 year olds and it would be good to build on last year's pilgrimage and encourage others to join in prayer and reconciliation.
Each place is £225 and is subsidised from the Bishop of Dudley's Mission Fund. Last year a number of parishes funded places for young adults and this was greatly appreciated. Also some individuals were able to sponsor places, or contribute to the cost of places.
Please pray for those joining this pilgrimage as they live simply, and simply live, alongside the brothers of Taize and young adults from around the world.
Service of Licensing of the Revd Simon Archer

Sunday 3rd March, at St Mary and All Saints Church, it was a great day of celebration as the Ismere Team welcomed Revd Simon Archer as Team Vicar. The seven churches of the Team, church leaders from other Denominations, the Local Echumenical Council, representatives of our Civil Authority (including a representative from the Horsefair), St Mary's Primary School, the Deanery, Faith at Work and our Team Rector all shared with Simon words of welcome.
The Bishop of Dudley, Rt. Revd. Graham Usher led the Service, and in his Sermon shared with those present, the experience of the lavish gifts of Grace given by God to His people. He explained how this overflowing goodness could not be kept to ourselves but as an inheritance needed to be shared with those we come in contact with, within our churches and outside in the world that surrounds us.
The Bishop, the Archdeacon and our Rural Dean enabled those present to feel very much a part of this commissioning and the need for us to allow God to work in our Team, to show others His lavish, overflowing goodness.
